Mt Pritchard Kindergarten & Child Care Centre

We have been providing quality early childhood education to hundreds of families around the local suburbs of Bonnyrigg, Ashcroft, Sadleir, Bonnyrigg Heights, Cecil Hills, Abbotsbury, Heckenberg, Cabramatta West, Canley Heights, Busby, in the Fairfield and Liverpool LGA since 1976.

Our mission is to help each child reach their full potential in their development. We will design a curriculum based on your child’s current abilities and interests. Learning should be enjoyable and to do this we have a motivated team of creative educators. We work in partnership with you to help your child develop and will provide regular updates on your child’s progress.

Our Curriculum

Our daily activities are designed to provide appropriate experiences in the following early childhood development areas:

Social Development

  • Getting along in groups
  • Learning responsible behaviours (such as sharing)
  • Respecting gender/ethnic/cultural/age/developmental differences
  • Expressing feelings appropriately

Cognitive Development

  • Providing experience with mathematical and literacy scope
  • Promoting curiosity about the world by encouraging observation, exploration and experimentation
  • Building reading and writing skills
  • Fostering imagination and creativity

Language Skills

  • Listening, speaking, following directions, group discussion, group participation
  • Learning numbers, relational concepts, classification skills, grouping, categorising, negation, leading to problem solving

Physical Development

  • Developing large and small muscle groups
  • Improving spatial awareness and balance
  • Improving eye-hand co-ordination and perceptual skills
  • Exploring rhythm and movement

Emotional Development

  • Promoting positive self-image
  • Fostering co-operation
  • Developing independence, initiative and trust
  • Experiencing expression through art, music, drama and dance

Health and Safety

  • “Munch and Move” program
  • Incursions for dental health, fire safety, stranger danger and environment awareness

Before and After
School Care

From 7:30am to school time after school till 6:00pm.
We correspond with Mt Pritchard Public School daily and notify them of the children we will be picking up after school that day.
Childcare Preschool

Starting "big school" can be quite daunting for your child. We provide school readiness program for children going to primary school.

JP Service

We provide a JP service to assist the community. If you require a JP to witness your statutory declaration or affidavit, or to certify copies of original documents please call the number on the contact page for an appointment.
